The Morrowtown Community Development Group Inc. strives to Educate, Empower, and Encourage individuals through acts of service and giving. We seek to discover and utilize the skills and talents within our community to build a safe and united neighborhood through service projects that align with the shared goals and interests of Morrowtown residents.
Vision
We seek to change the narrative and perception of the Morrowton neighborhood by fostering unity among residents. Unity built through action and service towards shared goals and desire. By addressing issues such as environmental blight, food insecurity, violence and drug use we hope to make a lasting mark and plant a seed for generations to come. The symbolic tree and the green in our logo speaks to our desire to nourish and grow the Morrowtown community and the greater community of Burlington, NC.
Goals
- A safer neighborhood (crime and drug reduction)
- A cleaner neighborhood (reducing litter and blight)
- A healthier neighborhood (reducing health related issues and facilitating access to healthy food)
- An empowered neighborhood (facilitating access to education and resources to better equip residents financially and socially)
